Div - 16 (2017-18 School Year)
Spring Break may be on the minds of many right now, but we still have some important basketball related things going on right now. First of all, a big congratulations to the Tier 1 Boys team who has advanced to the city finals for the second consecutive year. The boys will be taking on the Dufferin Dragons tomorrow at Brock Middle School. The game is scheduled to start at 6:30pm. Come out and cheer them on.
Secondly, tomorrow is the first day of the annual NCAA College Basketball tournament, also known as "March Madness." For fun, I have organized a bracket challenge pool (for students who are interested), to fill out a bracket and try and correctly predict as many games as they can. The "entry fee" for this tournament is a candy/chocolate bar (just one each - some of them were plotting to say they needed to bring two), and after the final game on April 2nd, we will determine the grand champion, who will also get to keep all of the candy! Side Note: Last year the champion was a grade 7 girl who knew nothing about college basketball, and who's strategy was based upon who she thought had the nicer uniforms :)
